REPEAT OFFENDER

As I continue to organize and purge my closet, I strive to find staples that are truly versatile. As a blogger and stylist, we tend to overuse this word daily but it really is the most fitting term when describing functional pieces. I have been reviewing some of my most recent outfit inspirations and I noticed a repeat offender: my Portofino sleeveless top from Express. This blouse has become my "versatile" piece this season. I currently own it in white and black. They perfectly tuck in to all my palazzo pants, shorts, and skirts. They also add so much structure and polish to my outfits and I have become so reliant on them!

My point for this entry is simple. Don't neglect solid tops and blouses. They are a very crucial component in your closet. If you find one that works and fits well, purchase it in multiple colors. It will serve you well when you are in a bind and trying to compile a last minute ensemble. I also highly recommend Express when purchasing basics.
