The Biggest Sale of the Year

I am always super excited for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Firstly, it's a bonding day for my mom and I. We both are avid lovers of fashion, so it's a nice way for us to spend some time together doing what we love. She has a great eye, so she always picks up pieces that I sometimes overlook. I don't think I would have as much success without her by my side. Secondly, my favorite season from a clothing perspective is definitely Fall. Long cardigans and pullover sweaters, skinny jeans, booties, and light weight jackets make me swoon. Fall attire is so chic and versatile and can easily be accessorized. By now you know I adore accessories! The sale has so many amazing Fall items at extremely marked down prices. Early Access for cardholders begins today July 13- 20th. The sale then opens to the public starting July 21-August 6.

Now I know you are probably ready to jump through the screen and attack me at any moment. Why in the world would anyone want to think about sweaters and boots in the summer? Right now you are probably basking in the sun, drinking a margarita, or getting ready to board a flight for your vacation to Aruba. Don't get me wrong. I love summer fun and the beach too, but we need to face reality. Fall will be here before you know it, so why not take advantage and stock up on those much needed items, such as new shoes, tops, and jeans for the family, while they are at an all time low. Nordstrom is known for their great quality and impeccable customer service. Spending a few more dollars or shopping a little bit early, will be a wise investment in the long run. Trust me. I always purchase name brand sneakers, boots, and coats for the kids while they are on sale. Why wait until August and spend full price. This really is a no brainer!

While the sale may seem overwhelming and tedious, it doesn't have to be. Believe me, I am beginning to despise the mall. The crowds and lines can be unbearable. That's why I recommend shopping online. Make a list of what you need. I also suggest possibly cleaning out your closets and purging a bit. Get rid of things that no longer fit or have overstayed their welcome and afterwards decide what crucial pieces need to be restocked in your wardrobe. Once your list is in order, shop the sale by category. Figure out a budget and buy accordingly. I wouldn't overly stress about sizing because the return policy is unbeatable and there is always fast free shipping and returns.

If you are a cardholder, start shopping quickly. Items sell out fast and furious! If you are not a cardholder start perusing now. As soon as July 21 arrives, log on and shop until you drop. I am going to link some of my favorites thus far and will continue to do so in the next week.
